Breakfast.
Fruit tasting in a street market and Corcovado excursion.
Enjoy delicious fruit at a local market and then, departure to visit the famous Corcovado (Christ), which owes its name to the shape of the mountain which rises to over 700 m above the city. It is here that Christ Redeemer, huge soapstone statue (30m statue, 8m pedestal, 28m wide), the work of the French sculptor Paul Landowski, was built and inaugurated in 1931. It is from here where it can be seen, opening his arms and symbolizing, beyond Rio, the good tradition of welcome and hospitality of the Brazilian people.
Lunch at Confeitaria Colombo
A living portrait of the Belle Époque in Rio, and one of the city’s gourmet landmarks, the Confeitaria Colombo still retains much of its Art Nouveau charm dating back to the beginning of the century. Its famous Belgian mirrors in their hardwood frames and rosewood showcases, Italian marble benches, ornate light fixtures, glossy floor and period furniture have been preserved intact, just as they were admired by many famous individuals who helped write the history of Brazil, while also making the Confeitaria Colombo a major downtown attraction.
Traditional Brazilian Buffet

One of the most famous Carnivals of the world is in Rio. This is the biggest Brazilian cultural manifestation and a democrat celebration, where everyone interact and have fun together regardless of their origin. Carnival in Rio is distinguished for being, not only a celebration, but also a competition. Cariocas have a venue entirely dedicated to samba schools’ demonstration of their incredible productions, the Sambadrome. This parade is a huge event that involves thousands of people that want to wear a custom and participate in a unique opportunity that provides a memorable experience. This is a tour behind the scenes of Carnival. In the complex of Samba City, where all samba schools have their creation warehouses, a guide explains about the history of samba, allegories and the
Carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro. It goes around the warehouse with customs and parade items in progress and guests have the opportunity to try the costumes, feeling a little bit of the Carnival essence. After that exciting visit, they have time to taste the traditional caipirinha, a cocktail made with cachaça (sugar cane hard liquor), lemon and sugar, before heading back to the hotel.
At the end, return to the hotel.
In the evening, dinner at Rio Scenarium (included: entrance fee, appetizers, main dish, dessert and drinks – mineral water, soft drinks, national beer and caipirinha per person) – closed on Monday and Tuesday. Located in a renovated warehouse in the bohemian district of Lapa, Rio Scenarium is an antique store-turned-bar. All the items of the decoration are part of the inventory and many have been used on movie sets. In the second floor are exposed the full contents of an old-fashioned pharmacy, furniture, carriages, and many more items. The lovely building is the perfect setting for traditional Brazilian samba and choro. The acoustics are excellent and the tables centered around the stage and dance floor give a great view. The menu offers typical Brazilian dishes, snacks and drinks.
There is no other place in Rio that embodies the alegria or happiness of the Brazilian people more than the nightlife scene in the neighborhood of Lapa. Once the sun goes down, this normally quiet neighborhood turns into a bustling and vibrant area full of restaurants, nightclubs and bars. The streets fill with cariocas and gringos alike, who flock to this Rio nightlife Mecca with one thing in mind……fun!! From traditional northeastern forró, to Rio’s own samba, to reggae from Bahia, visitors will enjoy the best that the Rio music scene has to offer. On the Rio Nightlife Tour, we will take you right to the heart of the action where our local guides will accompany you to one of the best clubs in Lapa, Rio Scenarium an unusual bar, a mix between an antique shop and an auction room, where the locals come to listen to traditional Brazilian jazz and samba.
